Assertive Sentence (or) Declarative Sentence (साधारण वाक्य): Sentences का सबसे common type हैं - Assertive Sentence. English language के अधिकतर sentences इसी type के होते हैं। ऐसे वाक्य जो कथन करते हैं या सूचना देते हैं, उन्हें assertive sentence कहते हैं।(The sentence which declares or asserts a statement, feeling, opinion, incident, event, history, or anything is called an assertive sentence.)
Assertive sentence (साधारण वाक्य) दो प्रकार के होते हैं :
(A) Affirmative Sentences : ऐसे वाक्य जिनसे सकारात्मक सूचना प्राप्त होती है उन्हें Affirmative या Positive Sentences कहते हैं; जैसे:
Dinosaurs lived millions of years ago. (डायनासोर लाखों साल पहले रहते थे।)
This is my favorite movie. (यह मेरी पसंदीदा फिल्म है।)
Mohit planned a tour. (मोहित ने एक यात्रा का प्लान किया।)
The Ganges is a holy river. (गंगा एक पवित्र नदी है।)
Virat Kohli is a fine batsman. (विराट कोहली एक बढ़िया बल्लेबाज हैं।)
(B) Negative Sentences : जिन वाक्यों में नकारात्मक सूचना मिलती है, उन्हें Negative Sentences कहते हैं; जैसे:
Dogs do not chase cats. (कुत्ते बिल्लियों का पीछा नहीं करते हैं।)
Kishan does not work for an insurance company. (किशन बीमा कंपनी के लिए काम नहीं करता है।)
They didn't not like this coffee very much. (उन्हें यह कॉफ़ी बहुत पसंद नहीं आई।)
I do not practice the guitar every morning. (मैं हर सुबह गिटार का अभ्यास नहीं करता।)
Assertive Sentences के अंत में full stop लगता हैं।
