Differance between Count Nouns vs. Non-Count Nouns


1. Count Nouns can be counted as one or more.Ex : pen, computer, bottle, spoon, desk, cup etc.
Non-count nouns cannot be counted. They usually express a group or a type.Ex : water, wood, ice, air, oxygen, English

2. Count Nouns take an s to form the plural. Ex : pens, computers, bottles, spoons, desks, cups etc.
Non-count nouns Generally cannot be pluralized. Work both with and without an article (a, an, or the), depending on the context of the sentence.Ex : Sugar is sweet. / I drink milk.

3. Count Nouns Work with expressions such as (a few, few, many, some, every, each, these, and the number of).Ex : a few pens, a few computers, many bottles etc.
Non-count nouns Work with expressions such as (some, any, enough, this, that, and much).
Ex : We ate some rice and milk. / This meat is good.
