क्या आप जानते हैं कि Wedding और Marriage में क्या difference हैं? Normally लोग इसे एक ही समझते हैं पर ऐसा नहीं है।
Wedding एक collective name है जो उन सभी ceremonies और rituals का जो दो लोगों के बीच हुए relationship को एक सामाजिक मान्यता देता हैं (A wedding is a collective name used for all the ceremonies and rituals that take place to give social acceptance to the relationship between two people)
वही Marriage एक institution (रीति) है जो कि Wedding के बाद शुरू होती है।
इसलिए You are invited to my wedding. कहना सही है।
You are invited to my marriage. कहना गलत है।
इसी तरह जब हम बोलते हैं
Their marriage was a disaster. - का अर्थ है कि वह couple अपनी life में एक साथ खुश नहीं है।
और जब हम कहते है - Their wedding was a disaster. - इसका अर्थ है की उनके विवाह (wedding) के दौरान कुछ हुआ था और सभी ceremony smoothly नहीं हुई।
