DWELL (ड्वेल)
Meaning: बसना
“We have to build the noble mansion of free India where all her children may dwell.”

SLUMBER (स्लंबर)
Meaning: नींद
“…and India stands forth again, after long slumber and struggle…”
(और भारत लंबी निद्रा और संघर्ष के बाद; आगे के लिए पुन: जागृत खड़ा है)

REJOICE (रिजॉइस)
Meaning: आनंदित होना
“We rejoice in that freedom, even though clouds surround us…”
(हम इस स्वतंत्रता में आनन्दित हैं, भले ही हमारे चारों तरफ बादल मंडरा रहे हैं)

ALOFT (अलॉफ्ट)
Meaning: ऊंचा
“… held aloft the torch of freedom and lighted up the darkness that surrounded us…”
(स्वतंत्रता की मशाल को ऊँचा उठाया, और हम पर छाये हुए अँधेरे को दूर किया)

IMPRINT (इम्प्रिंट)
Meaning: छाप
“…generations will remember this message and bear the imprint in their hearts of this great son of India…”
(पीढ़ियां इस संदेश को याद करेंगी और भारत के इस महान पुत्र की छाप दिलों में संजो कर रखेंगी )

HUMILITY (ह्यूमिलिटी)
Meaning: विनम्रता
“…magnificent in his faith and strength, and courage and humility.”

ENDEAVOR (एन्डैवर)
Meaning: प्रयत्न
“… Whither do we go and what shall be our endeavor?”
(हमें किधर जाना हैं और हमारे क्या प्रयत्न होने चाहिए?)

REVERENT (रेवरन्ट)
Meaning: नम्र
“…we pay our reverent homage and we bind ourselves afresh to her service.”
