→ Festivals और seasons के नाम से पहले article नहीं लगता
I celebrated Holi with my friends. (लेकिन I went to Goa in the Christmas holiday. सही है।)
→ दिन तथा महीनों के नाम से पहले article नहीं लगता है
He will come on Monday.
→ बीमारियों के नाम से पहले article नहीं लगता है
He is suffering from small-pox.
(लेकिन कुछ बीमारियों के पहले The का प्रयोग होता है जैसे - The plague, The measles)
→ Sports के नामों से पहले article का प्रयोग नहीं होता है
I play cricket.
Sara is interested in playing badminton.
→ भोजन सामग्री तथा Meals के नाम से पहले article का प्रयोग नहीं होता है
Mother is cooking lunch.
Dinner is ready.
I like bread and butter.
(पर जब हम किसी particular meal के बारे में बात करते हैं तो उससे पहले the का use करते हैं - The lunch we had at the restaurant was very good.)
