Gold is a precious metal. (NOT The gold is a …)
Honesty is the best policy.
→ Common nouns जिनका use व्यापक अर्थ में हो तो इनके पहले article का प्रयोग नहीं होता है
जैसे- Man is Mortal.
→ ऐसे कुछ phrases जो की preposition + noun से बने हो जैसे - on foot, at school, in debt, in hand, on earth etc
Anuj is in debt.
He is at school.
→ कुछ words जैसे school, college, university, church, bed, hospital, prison etc. से पहले article का प्रयोग नहीं होता है
His mother is still in hospital.
She is at university.
