There are three basic question types:

A. Yes/No questions : the answer is "yes or no"
1. Do you want dinner? - Yes, I do.
2. Can you drive? - No, I can't.

B. Question-word questions : the answer is "information"
1. Where do you live? - In India.
2. When will we have lunch? - At 1pm.

C. Choice questions : the answer is "in the question"
1. Do you want tea or coffee? - Coffee, please
