जिन हिंदी वाक्यों की क्रिया के अंत में ता है, ती है, ते हैं इत्यादि आते हैं, उन क्रियाओं का अंग्रेज़ी अनुवाद Simple Present Tense में होता है। Simple Present Tense में helping verb (सहायक क्रिया) do/ does होती है।
Structure of Simple Present Tense:
Simple sentence: sub + verb (s/es) + object
Ram goes to the market. (राम बाजार जाता है।)
We go to the market. (हम बाजार जाते हैं।)
Negative sentence: sub + do/ does + not + verb + object
Ram does not go to the market. (राम बाजार नहीं जाता है।)
We don't go to the market. (हम बाजार में नहीं जाते हैं।)
Interrogative sentence: Do/ Does + sub + verb + object?
Does Ram go to the market? (क्या राम बाजार जाता है?)
Do we go to the market? (क्या हम बाजार जाते हैं?)
First person subject (I, We), Second Person (You) और Third Person Plural (They) के साथ verb की base form का प्रयोग होता है जबकि He/ She/ It और Singular person के साथ क्रिया में s/ es लगाते हैं।
