'THOUGH' का इस्तेमाल करना सीखें


To express contrast
• Though I liked the sweater, I did not buy it. (हालांकि मुझे स्वेटर पसंद आया, मैंने उसे नहीं ख़रीदा।)
Note: The same sentence can be said/written with ‘though’ at the end and it would not change the meaning.
• I liked the sweater. I decided not to buy it, though.
• Though they were talking in undertones, I could hear them. (हालांकि वे धीमी आवाज़ में बात कर रहे थे, मैं उन्हें सुन सकता था।)

To be used with ‘even’ (अपनी बात पर ज़ोर देने के लिए )
• Even though you don’t like her, you should try to be nice to her. (भले ही आप उसे पसंद नहीं करते, आपको उसके साथ अच्छा बन कर रहना चाहिए।)
• I wore my coat, even though it wasn’t very cold outside. (मैंने अपना coat पहन लिया, भले ही बाहर ज़्यादा ठण्ड नही थी ।)
NOTE: Even though is a stronger form of although.

To be used with ‘as’
As though = As if = जैसे की, मानो
• He behaved as though/as if nothing has happened. (उसने ऐसे व्यवहार किया जैसे कि कुछ हुआ ही नहीं है।)
• She ran so fast as though/as if she was being chased by a ghost. (वह इतनी तेज़ी से भागी, मानो उसके पीछे भूत लग गया हो।)
