The annual pilgrimage to the Amarnath temple located in South Kashmir will begin from July 1 and continue till August 31. Officials gave this information on Friday. This pilgrimage is organized every year to visit the Shivling in the holy cave situated at an altitude of 3,880 meters in the Himalayan region of South Kashmir. Registration for the yatra will start from April 17. The program of the pilgrimage was finalized in the 44th meeting of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) held under the chairmanship of Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhavan. Announcing the schedule of the pilgrimage, Lieutenant Governor Sinha said that the administration is committed to ensure smooth and uninterrupted pilgrimage. He said, “Hassle-free pilgrimage is the top priority of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. The administration will provide the best healthcare and other necessary facilities to all the visiting devotees and service providers. "All concerned departments in accommodation, electricity, water, security and other arrangements for smooth and uninterrupted conduct of the pilgrimage," said the Lt Governor. He said that the yatra would start simultaneously from both the Pahalgam route in Anantnag district and the Baltal route in Ganderbal district.

दक्षिण कश्मीर में स्थित अमरनाथ मंदिर की वार्षिक यात्रा एक जुलाई से शुरू होकर 31 अगस्त तक चलेगी. अधिकारियों ने शुक्रवार को यह जानकारी दी. दक्षिण कश्मीर के हिमालयी क्षेत्र में 3,880 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर स्थित पवित्र गुफा में शिवलिंग के दर्शन के लिए यह तीर्थ यात्रा प्रत्येक वर्ष आयोजित होती है. यात्रा के लिए पंजीकरण 17 अप्रैल से शुरू होगा. राजभवन में जम्मू-कश्मीर के उपराज्यपाल मनोज सिन्हा की अध्यक्षता में हुई श्री अमरनाथजी श्राइन बोर्ड (एसएएसबी) की 44वीं बैठक में तीर्थयात्रा का कार्यक्रम तय किया गया. उपराज्यपाल सिन्हा ने तीर्थयात्रा के कार्यक्रम की घोषणा करते हुए कहा कि प्रशासन सुचारू और निर्बाध तीर्थ यात्रा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है. उन्होंने कहा, ‘‘परेशानी मुक्त तीर्थ यात्रा प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी और गृह मंत्री अमित शाह की सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता है. प्रशासन आने वाले सभी श्रद्धालुओं और सेवा प्रदाताओं को सर्वश्रेष्ठ स्वास्थ्य सेवा और अन्य आवश्यक सुविधाएं प्रदान करेगा.'' उपराज्यपाल ने कहा, ‘‘तीर्थ यात्रा के सुचारू और निर्बाध संचालन के लिए आवास, बिजली, पानी, सुरक्षा एवं अन्य व्यवस्थाओं में सभी संबंधित विभाग जुटे हुए हैं.'' उन्होंने कहा कि यात्रा अनंतनाग जिले के पहलगाम मार्ग और गंदेरबल जिले के बालटाल मार्ग दोनों से ही एक साथ शुरू होगी.
