Cyclone Gaja set to hit Tamil Nadu today- Namaste English

he cyclonic storm ‘Gaja’ will make a landfall between Cuddalore and Pamban on Thursday evening bringing heavy rainfall to Tamil Nadu, the weather department said, prompting authorities to shut schools and colleges in the area. Though Chennai would be spared from the onslaught of the strom. sporadic rainfall was reported in Chennai and the vulnerable districts in the central Tamil Nadu remained cloudy on Thursday.

मौसम विभाग ने कहा कि चक्रवात तूफान 'गाजा' गुरुवार की शाम को कुड्डालोर और पंबन के बीच एक भूस्खलन बनायेगा जो की तमिलनाडु में भारी बारिश लायेगा, मौसम विभाग ने अधिकारियों से इलाके में स्कूलों और कॉलेजों को बंद करने के लिए कहा है। हालंकि चेन्नई चक्रवात के हमले से बच जाएगा। चेन्नई में छिटपुट बारिश दर्ज की गई और केंद्रीय तमिलनाडु के कमज़ोर जिलों में गुरुवार को बादल छाए रहे।
