Delhi NGO plans campaign to stop drunk driving this Holi- Namaste English

Highlighting an increase in road accidents and fatalities across north India, especially during the Holi season, a Delhi-based NGO has planned a massive campaign to check drunk driving during the festival. It plans to mobilise drivers in Delhi to take a pledge against drinking and driving during the festival of colours. It has initiated the "Pledge Not to Drink and Drive" campaign to sensitise commercial vehicle drivers to be responsible towards other road users during the festival, a statement issued by the 'Community Against Drunken Driving (CADD)' said.

पूरे उत्तर भारत में सड़क दुर्घटनाओं और अपमृत्यु में वृद्धि पर प्रकाश डालते हुए, विशेष रूप से होली के मौसम के दौरान, दिल्ली स्थित एक एनजीओ ने त्यौहार के दौरान नशे में ड्रंक ड्राइविंग को रोकने के लिए एक बड़े अभियान की योजना बनाई है। यह दिल्ली में वाहन चालकों को रंगों के त्योहार के दौरान शराब पीकर गाड़ी चलाने के खिलाफ शपथ लेने के लिये संघटित करने की योजना बना रहा है। 'कम्युनिटी अगेंस्ट ड्रंकन ड्राइविंग (CADD)' द्वारा जारी एक बयान में कहा गया है कि इसने वाणिज्यिक वाहन चालकों को त्योहार के दौरान अन्य सड़क उपयोगकर्ताओं के प्रति जिम्मेदार ठहराने के लिए संवेदनशील बनाने का "प्लेज नॉट टू ड्रिंक एंड ड्राइव" अभियान शुरू किया है।
