India, currently leading 2-1 in the 5-match T20I series vs South Africa, will look to seal the series at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Friday. It would be India’s 14th consecutive T20I series win. The two teams come into this match after a rather disappointing, and slightly bizarre, scrapping of the 4th T20I due to excessive fog in Lucknow. The two sides warmed up at the ground but the toss ended up never taking place, with the officials choosing to run the clock all the way down to 9.45pm IST before calling it off despite the fog only getting worse as time went on. The abandonment meant ended any chances South Africa had of winning the series but they could still draw it if they win in Ahmedabad.
