Finance Minister says streamlining multiple labour laws is on the anvil- Namaste English

Taking up the issue of the much needed labour reforms to give a fillip to the economy, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the government is planning to streamline multiple labour laws into a set of four labour codes. The minister stated that this will ensure that the process of registration and filing of returns will get standardised and streamlined. The MSME sector has been rooting for revised labour reforms that can help to make the environment more conducive for them. The Economic Survey of 2019 revealed that a plethora of labour rules have pushed SMEs in the country to remain small.

अर्थव्यवस्था को प्रोत्साहन देने के लिए बहुत जरूरी श्रम सुधारों के मुद्दे को उठाते हुए, वित्त मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमण ने कहा कि सरकार कई श्रम कानूनों को सरल एवं कारगर बनाने के लिए चार श्रम कोडों के एक समूह में बदलने की योजना बना रही है। मंत्री ने कहा कि इससे यह सुनिश्चित होगा कि पंजीकरण और रिटर्न दाखिल करने की प्रक्रिया मानकीकृत और सरल एवं कारगर हो जाएगी। MSME क्षेत्र संशोधित श्रम सुधारों के लिए स्थापित कर रहा है जो पर्यावरण को उनके लिए अधिक सहायक बनाने में मदद कर सकते हैं। 2019 के आर्थिक सर्वेक्षण से पता चला कि श्रम नियमों की अधिकता ने देश में एसएमई को छोटे बने रहने के लिए बाध्य किया है।
