Finance Minister Will meet PSU banks chiefs- Namaste English

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will meet the heads of public sectors banks (PSBs) next week as part of the annual financial performance review exercise. The meeting scheduled for September 25 would discuss a host of issues, including progress made with regard to reduction in non-performing assets, sources said. The meeting will happen against the backdrop of the 'Alternative Mechanism' (AM) to merge three public sector banks Bank of Baroda, Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank with a view to create a global-size lender which will be stronger and sustainable.

वित्त मंत्री अरुण जेटली वार्षिक वित्तीय कार्य समीक्षा अभ्यास के हिस्से के रूप में अगले हफ्ते सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के बैंकों (पीएसबी) के प्रमुखों से मुलाकात करेंगे। सूत्रों ने बताया कि 25 सितंबर के लिए निर्धारित बैठक गैर-निष्पादित परिसंपत्तियों में कमी के संबंध में प्रगति सहित कई मुद्दों पर चर्चा करेगी। यह बैठक 'Alternative Mechanism' (AM) की पृष्ठभूमि के खिलाफ होगी, जिससे सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र के तीन बेंकों बैंक ऑफ बड़ौदा, विजया बैंक और देना बेंकों का विलय एक वैश्विक आकार के ऋणदाता बनाने के विचार से होगा जो की मजबूत और टिकाऊ होगा।
