The International Cricket Council today moved the inaugural Women’s Champions Trophy 2027 to India from Sri Lanka. The six-team event will be played in Mumbai and Vadodara from 14th to 28th of February.Sri Lanka was dropped as host as the sport is grappling with governance issues in the island nation, with the ICC Board approving India as the new host.The tournament will bring together six of the world’s leading women’s cricket teams, Australia, England, India, New Zealand, South Africa and Sri Lanka. 

अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट परिषद (आईसीसी) ने आज 2027 की पहली महिला चैंपियंस ट्रॉफी को श्रीलंका से भारत में स्थानांतरित कर दिया है। छह टीमों का यह टूर्नामेंट 14 से 28 फरवरी तक मुंबई और वडोदरा में खेला जाएगा। श्रीलंका को मेजबान के रूप में इसलिए हटा दिया गया क्योंकि द्वीप देश में क्रिकेट प्रशासन संबंधी समस्याओं से जूझ रहा है, और आईसीसी बोर्ड ने भारत को नए मेजबान के रूप में मंजूरी दे दी है। इस टूर्नामेंट में विश्व की छह प्रमुख महिला क्रिकेट टीमें - ऑस्ट्रेलिया, इंग्लैंड, भारत, न्यूजीलैंड, दक्षिण अफ्रीका और श्रीलंका - एक साथ खेलेंगी।
