India’s Dalveer Bhandari re-elected to ICJ

clinching an overwhelming support of 183 out of 193 votes in the UN general assembly, Indian origin justice Dalveer Bhandari was elected to the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for the second term. In a dramatic turn of events, UK withdrew from the race to break a deadlock. Bhandari's re-election is probably the most assiduous diplomatic success for India in the recent times.
