India's first biofuel flight operated successfully- Namaste English

After DGCA officials ascertained the feasibility of biofuel-powered planes, SpiceJet operated the country's first-ever 'Biofuel-powered' flight on Monday, between Dehradun and Delhi. The biofuel used in this flight, which reduces carbon emissions as well as fuel efficiency, has been developed by Dehradun-based Indian Institute of Petroleum using the jatropha crop. The use of biofuels in planes will also reduce the fare.

डीजीसीए के अधिकारियों द्वारा जैविक ईंधन की ऊर्जा से युक्त विमानों की संभाव्यता को सुनिश्चित करने के बाद, स्पाइसजेट ने देहरादून और दिल्ली के बीच सोमवार को देश की पहली बायोफ्यूल यानि 'जैविक ईंधन- संचालित' उड़ान का परिचालन किया। इस उड़ान में उपयोग किए गए जैविक ईंधन, जिससे कार्बन उत्सर्जन घटता है और साथ ही ईंधन दक्षता भी बढ़ती है, को देहरादून स्थित भारतीय पेट्रोलियम संस्थान द्वारा जट्रोफा फसल से बनाया गया है। विमानों में बायोफुरल के इस्तेमाल से किराये में भी कमी आएगी।
