Nepal cable operators ban private Indian news channels- Namaste English

Nepal's Information and Broadcasting Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada said that the country may seek political and legal remedies and also mobilise diplomatic channels against reports of Indian media attacking their sovereignty and dignity. India's national news network Doordarshan has been exempted from this ban. Few Indian news channels faced backlash also.

नेपाल के सूचना और प्रसारण मंत्री युबराज खतीवाड़ा ने कहा कि देश राजनीतिक और कानूनी उपायों की तलाश कर सकता है और राजकीय सत्ता और प्रतिष्ठा पर हमला करने वाली भारतीय मीडिया की रिपोर्टों के खिलाफ राजनयिक चैनल भी इस्तेमाल कर सकता है। भारत के राष्ट्रीय समाचार नेटवर्क दूरदर्शन को इस प्रतिबंध से छूट दी गई है। कुछ भारतीय समाचार चैनलों को प्रतिक्षेप का सामना भी करना पड़ा।
