RBI retained repo rate at 6%- Namaste English

After the two-day meeting of Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) under the chairmanship of Reserve Bank of India Governor Urjit Patel, no changes have been made in the repo rate. For the third time in a row, the repo rate has been retained at 6 percent. This move has now prolonged the wait for the cheaper loan. Considering the rise in inflation, increasing oil prices and the government's plan to enhance the support price of the crop, economic experts had already anticipated that the Reserve Bank could avoid the reduction in the standard policy rate.
