एडन मार्करम  (Aiden Markram) ने 49 गेंद पर शतक लगाकर इतिहास बना दिया है. वनडे विश्व कप में एडन मार्करम  सबसे तेज शतक लगाने वाले बल्लेबाज बन गए हैं. इससे पहले यह रिकॉर्ड केविन ओ'ब्रायन के नाम था, केविन ओ'ब्रायन ने 2011 विश्व कप में इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ 50 गेंद पर शतक लगाया था. वहीं, इस मामले में अब  तीसरे नंबर पर ग्लेन मैक्सवेल हैं. मैक्सवेल ने 51 गेंद पर शतक लगाने का कमाल किया है. एबी डिविलियर्स ने वनडे विश्व कप में 52 गेंद पर शतक ठोका है. इंग्लैंड के इयोन मॉर्गेन ने 57 गेंद पर शतक लगाने का कमाल किया था. ऑस्ट्रेलिया के मैथ्यू हेडन ने 66 गेंद पर शतक लगाया है.  बता दें कि श्रीलंका के खिलाफ मैच में 3 साउथ अफ्रीकी बल्लेबाजों ने शतक लगाकर धमाका कर दिया. एडन मार्करम  के अलावा क्विंटन डी कॉक और रासी वैन  डेर डुसेन ने भी शतक लगाने में सफलता हासिल की. मैच में रासी वैन डेर डुसेन ने जहां अपने वनडे करियर का पांचवां शतक लगाया तो वहीं दूसरी ओर क्विंटन डी कॉक 18 शतक लगाने में सफलता पाई है. बता दें कि क्विंटन डी कॉक  100 रन बनाकर आउट हुए तो वहीं वैन  डेर डुसेन 108 रन बनाकर आउट हुए. दोनों ने मिलकर दूसरे विकेट के लिए 204 रनों की साझेदारी की.
