Triple Talaq Bill Deferred To Next Parliament Session- Namaste English

The issue of contentious triple Talaq bill, which makes the instant talaq an offence, could not be taken up for discussion and passage in Rajya Sabha on the last day of Parliament's Monsoon session on Friday. Owing to the lack of consensus among the political parties, the bill has now been deferred until the winter session in order to become a law. The bill was passed in the Lok Sabha on December 28, 2017.
