Veteran actor Nana Patekar will be cremated with full state honours at Donje near Pune today at 4 PM. The Maharashtra government has decided to accord him a state funeral. Nana Patekar had a close association with his farmhouse at Donje, where his last rites will be performed.
Patekar, known for his powerful screen presence, passed away early this morning at his residence in Goa following a massive cardiac arrest. He was 75. After he was found unconscious following sudden discomfort, he was rushed to Manipal Hospital. Doctors attempted to revive him with CPR for around 45 minutes but could not save him. He was declared dead at around 5:20 AM.
The actor, known for his acclaimed performances in Hindi and Marathi cinema, had a career spanning several decades and was a recipient of three National Film Awards.

हिंदी और मराठी सिनेमा में अपने प्रशंसित अभिनय के लिए जाने जाने वाले इस अभिनेता का करियर कई दशकों तक फैला रहा और उन्हें तीन राष्ट्रीय फिल्म पुरस्कारों से सम्मानित किया गया।
