Adverb of reason से कारण को बताता है। जैसे -
There was a huge protest. The government therefore passed the bill. (भारी विरोध हुआ। इसलिए सरकार ने विधेयक पारित किया।)
यहाँ "therefore" उस कारण को point out कर रह है जिसके कारण विधेयक पास हुआ। अन्य शब्दों में "therefore" pass करने की वजह के बारे में जानकारी देता है।
ऐसे adverbs कोई क्रिया क्यों हुई (why’ an action takes place) का उत्तर देते हैं -
She didn’t go to school because it was raining. (वह स्कूल नहीं गई क्योंकि बारिश हो रही थी।)
He did not study, therefore he failed his exams. (उन्होंने पढ़ाई नहीं की, इसलिए वह अपनी परीक्षा में फेल हो गया।)
Sudha is ill, hence she will not come today. (सुधा बीमार है, इसलिए वह आज नहीं आएगी।)
The lights stopped working, thus the match was cancelled. (लाइट्स ने काम करना बंद कर दिया, इसलिए मैच रद्द कर दिया गया।)
