कितनी बार कार्य शुरू करने के बाद ऐसा लगता है कि अगर यह ना किया जाए तो अच्छा होगा। ऐसे समय में हमें अन्य लोगों से वह कार्य रोकने या ना करने का अनुरोध (request) करना पड़ता है। अंग्रेज़ी में इसके लिए Let's not से वाक्य को शुरू करते हैं। Using 'Let us/ Let's not + verb (1st form)' shows that we are requesting that something not take place at this moment or that what is happening needs to be contained or lessened. यह indirectly दर्शाता है कि कार्य को रोक देना (या ना करना) ही अच्छा है।
जैसे -
Let us not worry too much. (हम बहुत ज्यादा चिंता न करें।/ चलो हम बहुत ज्यादा चिंता नहीं करते।)
Let us not get too excited. (हम बहुत उत्साहित नहीं होते।)
Let us not interrupt them when they are talking. (चलो हम उन्हें तंग नहीं करेंगे जब वे बात कर रहे हैं।)
Let's - Let us का short form है -
Let's not discuss what you did last night now. (कल रात आपने क्या किया हम उसकी चर्चा अब नहीं करेंगे।)
Let's not stay here too long. (चलो हम यहाँ बहुत लंबा नहीं रुकेंगे।)
Let's not stop anywhere on the way to the home. (चलो घर के रास्ते पर कहीं भी नहीं रुकेंगे।)
Let's not meddle in other people's business. (चलो अन्य लोगों के कार्य में हस्तक्षेप नहीं करते।)
Let's not doubt Vivek. (विवेक पर शक नहीं करते।)
