भोजन की quantity और pieces से सम्बंधित शब्द


अक्सर हम cookery shows में chef को खाद्य सामग्री इस्तेमाल करते समय उनकी quantity के बारे में बताने के लिए कुछ ऐसे शब्दों का प्रयोग करते सुनते हैं जिनका अंदाज़ा हमे जल्दी से नहीं हो पता है। कुछ ऐसे ही food quantity शब्दों को जानें:
CHUNK (चंक) - Roughly cut, large pieces of food such as bread
SLAB (स्लैब) - A large, thick, flat slice of food, like meat
SLIVER (स्लिवर) - A very thin slice of food- a sliver of cheese
WEDGE (वैज) - A piece in the shape of a triangle such as a wedge of lemon or a potato wedge
KNOB (नॉब) - A small, rounded lump or ball butter or other such foods
DOLLOP (डोलप)A large, round lump of cream, ice cream, or other soft food
PINCH (पिंच) - A very small amount of a food that is like a powder such as salt
HINT (हिंट) - A very small amount that you can only just taste
DROP (ड्रॉप)- A small amount of liquid like food item
DASH (डैश) - Also, a small amount of a liquid food added to something else
SLUG (स्लग)- The amount of a drink that you can swallow at one time BLOB (ब्लॉब)A fat, round drop of a sticky, thick liquid such as sauces
