RUN as a verb
दौड़ना (to move along, faster than walking, by taking quick steps in which each foot is lifted before the next foot touches the ground)
The athletes are running towards the finish line. (एथलीटस फिनिश लाइन की तरफ दौड़ रहे हैं।)
The dog ran after the car. (कुत्ता कार के पीछे भागा।)
घूमना/ चलना to (cause something to) travel, move, or continue in a particular way)
The bus runs in every ten minutes. (बस हर दस मिनट में चलती है।)
Trains are still running, despite the snow. (बर्फ़बारी के बावजूद ट्रेन अभी भी चल रही है।)
उठाना/ चलाना/ दौड़ाना (to operate)
The government took measures to keep the economy running. (अर्थव्यवस्था को चलाने के लिए सरकार ने कदम उठाए।)
We've run the computer program, but nothing happens. (हमने कंप्यूटर प्रोग्राम चलाया है, लेकिन कुछ भी नहीं होता।)
बहना/ रिसना (to flow or produce liquid)
My nose is running – I need a tissue. (मेरी नाक बह रही है - मुझे टिश्यू की जरूरत है।)
The walls were running with damp. (दीवारें नमी के कारण बह रही थीं।
प्रसारित करना (to show something in a newspaper or magazine, on television, etc)
Channel A is running a series on the unfairness of the legal system. (चैनल ए कानूनी प्रणाली की अनुचितता पर एक श्रृंखला प्रसारित कर रहा है।)
