सबसे पहले ये जानना आवश्यक है कि Prepositional phrases होते क्या है?
Prepositional phrases are groups of words containing prepositions. (A preposition connects words, clauses, and sentences together and shows the relation between them.)
आज इसी श्रृंखला में हम 'by' preposition से शुरू होने वाले कुछ Prepositional phrases सीखेंगे -
by accident: अकस्मात रूप से/ संयोगवश
I met him by accident. (मैं संयोगवश उनसे मिला।)
by appointment: पहले लिए गए समय के अनुसार
The doctor will meet on Sunday by appointment. (डॉक्टर रविवार को अपॉइंटमेंट से ही मिलेंगी।)
by all means: सब प्रकार से/ हर तरह से
By all means, this house is suitable for us. (हर तरह से, यह घर हमारे लिए उपयुक्त है।)
by birth: जन्म से
He is blind by birth. (वह जन्म से अंधा है।)
by chance: संयोग से
He became the captain by chance. (वह संयोग से कप्तान बन गया।)
by day/ night: दिन में/ रात में
The Taj Mahal looks beautiful by night. (ताज महल रात में बहुत सुन्दर दिखता है।)
by law: क़ानून के अनुसार
One should have a licence by law before driving. (क़ानून के अनुसार ड्राइविंग से पहले लाइसेंस होना चाहिए।)
by mistake: गलती से
I put salt in my tea by mistake. (मैंने गलती से अपनी चाय में नमक डाल दिया।)
by phone: फ़ोन द्वारा
Get in touch with me by phone. (फ़ोन द्वारा मेरे साथ संपर्क में रहें)
by post: डाक द्वारा
Do you think it is safe to send the documents by post. (क्या आपको लगता है कि डाक द्वारा दस्तावेज भेजना सुरक्षित है।)
