Uncountable nouns जैसे furniture, sugar, rice, equipment, इत्यादि singular subjects माने जाते है और इसलिए इनके साथ singular verb का प्रयोग होता है -

2. The stationery is not sufficient for everyone.
3. The equipment is still on the way.
4. The luggage is missing from the flight.
5. The weather is going to be pleasant today.
