'Be going to' का use future events जो बहुत पास है या clearly जिन्हें देख सकते हैं उसे बताने के लिए किया जाता है। इस तरह के predictions present evidence पर based होते है। जैसे -
I'm going to face an interview.
मैं इंटरव्यू के लिए जा रहा हूँ।
Look at the clouds; it's going to rain.
बादल को देखो ;बारिश होने वाली है।
Will/ shall का use ऐसी predictions जो personal judgement, opinion or intuition पर आधारित हो ना कि present evidence पर, उन्हें व्यक्त करने के लिए किया जाता है -
I don't think I will pass the exam.
मुझे नहीं लगता कि मैं परीक्षा में सफल हो पाउँगा।
Whatever happens, we shall always be best friends.
कुछ भी हो जाए , हम हमेशा अच्छे दोस्त रहेंगे।
