Flames and smoke billowed from a 24-storey residential tower block in west London on Wednesday. About 600 people were believed to have been inside the building’s 120 flats when the blaze broke out early in the morning, killing at least 12 people and injuring 74 others. The toll may rise as many are believed to be still trapped inside the tower.
