Indian boxers remained a strong force at the Asian U-19 and U-23 championships, with 16 of them advancing to the finals across men’s and women’s categories and seven others securing bronze medals after semifinal finishes in Jakarta. In the Under-19 women’s category, 8 boxers reached finals today. Gunjan advanced to the final in the 45-50 kg weight class. Chandrika Pujari in the 51 kg category, Joyshree Chirom in the 54 kg, Prachi in the 57 kg and Chahat in the 60 kg category reached finals. Anshika in the 75 kg, Megha in the 80 kg, and Prachi Tokas in the plus 81 kg category secured their places in the final.
