In the last 24 hours, 743 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in the country and the number of patients under treatment is 3,997. The Health Ministry gave this information on Saturday. According to the data updated by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare till 8 am on Saturday, seven people have died due to Corona virus infection in the last 24 hours. According to the ministry's data, in the last 24 hours, three patients have died due to Covid-19 in Kerala, two in Karnataka and one each in Chhattisgarh and Tamil Nadu. There has been a rise in cases of infection in recent times due to cold and the new form of corona virus. Before this, by December 5, the number of daily cases had come down to double digits. In almost four years from the beginning of the year 2020 till now, more than 4.5 crore people have been infected with Corona virus across the country and more than 5.3 lakh people have died due to it. According to the website of the Health Ministry, the number of people who have recovered from the infection so far has increased to 4.4 crore. The national recovery rate is 98.81 percent. According to the ministry, 220.67 crore doses have been given so far under the anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign in the country.

देश में बीते 24 घंटे में कोविड-19 के 743 नए मामले सामने आए तथा उपचाराधीन मरीजों की संख्या 3,997 है. स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय ने शनिवार को यह जानकारी दी. केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण मंत्रालय की ओर से शनिवार सुबह आठ बजे तक के अपडेट्स आंकड़ों के अनुसार, बीते 24 घंटों में कोरोना वायरस संक्रमण से सात लोगों की मौत हुई है. मंत्रालय के आंकड़ों के मुताबिक, बीते 24 घंटे में कोविड-19 से केरल में तीन, कर्नाटक में दो जबकि छत्तीसगढ़ और तमिलनाडु में एक-एक मरीज की मौत हुई है. ठंड और कोरोना वायरस के नए उपस्वरूप के कारण हाल के दिनों में संक्रमण के मामलों में तेजी आई है. इससे पहले पांच दिसंबर तक दैनिक मामलों की संख्या घटकर दहाई अंक तक पहुंच गई थी. वर्ष 2020 की शुरुआत से अब तक लगभग चार वर्षों में देश भर में कोरोना वायरस से लगभग साढ़े चार करोड़ से अधिक लोग संक्रमित हुए तथा इससे 5.3 लाख से अधिक लोगों की मौत हुई. स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय की वेबसाइट के अनुसार, अब तक संक्रमण से उबरने वाले लोगों की संख्या बढ़कर 4.4 करोड़ हो गई है. स्वस्थ होने की राष्ट्रीय दर 98.81 प्रतिशत है. मंत्रालय के अनुसार, देश में कोविड-19 रोधी टीकाकरण अभियान के तहत अब तक 220.67 करोड़ खुराक दी जा चुकी हैं.
