Resident doctors of the AIIMS on Thursday went on an indefinite strike. They are demanding suspension of a professor who allegedly slapped a resident in front of staff, junior doctors and patients. The Resident Doctors’ Association (RDA) has also urged that the doctor in question should not be allowed to take in thesis candidates and conduct any kind of verbal or written examination. They also sought a written apology from the doctor concerned.

AIIMS के रेज़िडेंट डॉक्टर गुरुवार को अनिश्चितकालीन हड़ताल पर चले गए। वे एक प्रोफेसर के निलंबन की मांग कर रहे हैं जिन्होंने कथित तौर पर कर्मचारियों, जूनियर डॉक्टरों और मरीजों के सामने एक रेज़िडेंट डॉक्टर को थप्पड़ मार दिया। रेज़िडेंट डॉक्टर एसोसिएशन (RDA) ने यह भी दबाव डाला है कि उस डॉक्टर को थीसिस उम्मीदवारों को लेने व किसी भी तरह की मौखिक या लिखित परीक्षा आयोजित करने की अनुमति नहीं दी जानी चाहिए। उन्होंने उस डॉक्टर से लिखित माफी की भी मांग की है।
