The Union ministry of civil aviation on Tuesday announced that it has allowed airlines to serve meals on all domestic flights. Airline carriers were not allowed to serve meals in flights that have a duration of less than two hours since April 15, 2021, in view of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic.Along with food services, the ministry has also permitted the resumption of magazines and other reading materials to the passengers, according to the order. The ministry noted that the decision to resume food services and magazines has been made as the “Covid caseload” has decreased due to the "proper implementation of appropriate Covid behaviour protocol", the PTI report showed.
