In a protest against the Supreme Court's decision to make changes in SC / ST law, 'Bharat bandh' observed by Dalit organizations across the country has become violent. The protests erupted on Monday when the SC allegedly decided to review and amend the SC/ST (Prevention of atrocities) Act. Dalits are demanding to revoke the amendment decision and to implement the Act as it was.
