Britain has confirmed to the CBI that fugitive Nirav Modi, main accused of India's biggest banking fraud, is in their country. Soon after his whereabouts were intimated by the U.K. authorities, CBI sent an extradition request to bring him back to India. CBI has also requested to detain him on the basis of the RCN issued by the Interpol. Nirav Modi had left the country just days before the CBI registered a case against him in January and managed to evade his arrest until now.
