assuaging the growing concerns over currency shortage in ATMs finance minister Arun Jaitley on Tuesday said there is more than adequate currency in circulation and the same is available with banks.  He tweeted that the temporary cash shortage caused by ‘sudden and unusual’ spurt in demand in some areas is being tackled quickly. He added that the government is checking with banks and the RBI to ensure an adequate supply of currency.
