India delivered an unusually blunt message to China for its attempt to raise the Kashmir issue at the UN Security Council, asking it to seriously reflect on the global consensus and refrain from taking such action in the future. India also slammed Pakistan for trying to internationalise the Kashmir issue with the help of China, saying Islamabad's "desperate" measures to "peddle" baseless allegations and presenting an alarming scenario about the Valley lacked credibility.

भारत ने संयुक्त राष्ट्र सुरक्षा परिषद में कश्मीर मुद्दे को उठाने के अपने प्रयास के लिए चीन को एक असामान्य रूप से स्पष्टवादी  संदेश दिया, साथ ही इसे वैश्विक सहमति पर गंभीरता से विचार करने और भविष्य में ऐसी कार्रवाई करने से परहेज करने के लिए कहा। भारत ने चीन की मदद से कश्मीर मुद्दे का अंतर्राष्ट्रीयकरण करने की कोशिश करने के लिए पाकिस्तान को भी फटकार लगाते हुए कहा कि इस्लामाबाद  के "बेबुनियाद" आरोपों को फैलाने के  "हताश" मापदंडों और घाटी के बारे में चिंताजनक परिदृश्य पेश करने में विश्वसनीयता की कमी है।
