As per report, Congress party, perhaps due to a cash crunch, has been cutting down on its expenses since the last five months. In the near future, this financial crisis can undermine the potential of (alleged) indigent Congress to wrest the power from the Bhartiya Janata Party  in 2019 elections. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has suggested that instead of getting embarrassed, the party should raise money via donations from the citizens.
