CVC gets 2 weeks to probe Alok Verma case

The Supreme Court on Friday has decreed Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) to complete its inquiry against 'sent-on-leave' CBI chief Alok Verma within two weeks. The Bench urged retired Justice Patnaik to supervise the probe and ensure that it gets completed within the time frame. The court has also asked the present incumbent at the CBI helm, M Nageshwar Rao to take care of only routine tasks; he has been barred from taking any major or policy decisions.
