Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday announced a week-long curfew in Delhi starting tonight in the national capital.
"It has been decided to impose a lockdown in Delhi, from 10 pm tonight to 6 am next Monday (26th April)," Delhi CM said.
"Essential services, food services, medical services will continue. Weddings can be held with a gathering of only 50 people, passes will be issued separately for it. A detailed order will be issued shortly," CM Kejriwal said."Delhi’s health system has been stretched to its limit, is under stress. Harsh measures will have to be taken to prevent a collapse of the health system," said Kejriwal.

All private offices will work from home and only government offices and essential services will be open.  The decision was taken at a meeting held between Lt Governor Anil Baijal and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal.

दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने सोमवार को दिल्ली में आज रात से शुरू हो रहे कर्फ्यू की घोषणा की ।दिल्ली के सीएम ने कहा, आज रात 10 बजे से अगले सोमवार (26 अप्रैल) सुबह 6 बजे तक 'दिल्ली में लॉकडाउन लगाने का फैसला किया गया है, ।"आवश्यक सेवाएं, खाद्य सेवाएं, चिकित्सा सेवाएं जारी रहेंगी । शादियों का आयोजन केवल 50 लोगों का जमावड़ा लगा सकता है, इसके लिए अलग से पास जारी किए जाएंगे।सीएम केजरीवाल ने कहा, शीघ्र ही एक विस्तृत आदेश जारी किया जाएगा ।"दिल्ली की स्वास्थ्य प्रणाली को अपनी सीमा तक बढ़ाया गया है, तनाव में है ।केजरीवाल ने कहा, स्वास्थ्य व्यवस्था के पतन को रोकने के लिए कठोर उपाय करने होंगे ।सभी निजी कार्यालय घर-घर से काम करेंगे और सिर्फ सरकारी कार्यालय और जरूरी सेवाएं ही खुलेंगी।उपराज्यपाल अनिल बैजल और मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल के बीच हुई बैठक में यह फैसला लिया गया।
