86 year old G.D. Agarwal, better known as Swami Gyan Swaroop Sanand, died of a heart attack on Thursday. Fighting for a long time to return the sanctity of river Ganga, former IIT-Kanpur professor and crusader Agarwal ji died after 111 days of fasting. Since renouncing the materialistic world seven years ago, he was staying at Maitri Sadan, the centre of Save Ganga movement. PM Modi condoled his sad demise.
