GST Council has cut tax rate on 29 goods which included second-hand vehicles, confectionery and bio-diesel. Also, tax rate on 54 categories of services, including certain job works, tailoring services and admission to theme parks, have been lowered. Jaitley said the next meeting of the Council may consider bringing items like crude oil, natural gas, petrol, diesel, ATF and real estate within the GST purview.
