आईसीसी ने टी-20 टीम के बाद अब साल 2022 के लिए वनडे टीम का ऐलान किया है जिसमें केवल 2 भारतीय खिलाड़ियों को शामिल किया है. आईसीसी द्वारा चुनी गई टीम में श्रेयस अय्यर और मोहम्मद सिराज को शामिल किया है. इसके अलावा आईसीसी ने इस टीम का कप्तान बाबर आजम को बनाया है. बता दें कि टी-20 टीम ऑफ द ईयर में आईसीसी ने बाबर को जगह नहीं दी थी लेकिन वनडे टीम ऑफ द ईयर में बाबर अपनी जगह बना पाने में सफल रहे हैं. इसके अलावा ट्रेविस हेड, शाई होप, टॉम लैथम को टीम में शामिल किया गया है. सबसे चौंकाने वाली बात ये है कि वनडे में 46 शतक लगा चुके कोहली को आईसीसी ने जगह नहीं दी है इसके अलावा रोहित शर्मा भी आईसीसी द्वारा ऐलान किए गए इस टीम में जगह बना पाने में असफल रहे हैं. कीवी टीम के टॉम लैथम को आईसीसी ने विकेटकीपर के तौर पर टीम में जगह दी है. वहीं, जिम्बाब्वे के सिंकदर रजा वनडे टीम में भी शामिल हैं. जिम्बाब्वे के इस ऑलराउंडर को टी-20 टीम ऑफ द ईयर में भी शामिल किया गया था.
