In connection with the PNB scam, the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) on Monday issued a red corner notice (RCN) against Indian diamond merchant Nirav Modi, his brother Neeshal Modi and close aide Subhash Parab. This RCN not only restricts a fugitive's movement in 192 member-countries of the Interpol, but also empowers the enforcement agencies in foreign jurisdictions to detain and deport him so that the accused's extradition proceedings can be initiated by the requesting country.
