On the very first day of the new year 2024 (Monday), the land of Japan was once again shaken by a massive earthquake. After a strong earthquake of 7.5 magnitude, now 1.2 meter high tsunami waves have hit the shores of Japan. According to Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA), a powerful earthquake of 7.5 magnitude has occurred in western Japan. Considering the intensity of the earthquake, a tsunami warning has also been issued. Seeing the sea level at danger level, people have been appealed to evacuate their homes. Seeing the scene of devastation, people on social media are getting scared remembering the devastation that happened in 2011 and giving different types of reactions by sharing videos and photos. According to The Japan Times report, earthquake tremors were felt in the capital Tokyo and Kanto region. According to Japan's public broadcaster NHK, waves of up to 5 meters are expected after the tsunami warning. That is why, it has been urged to leave the coastal areas as soon as possible and go to the top of tall buildings or to the ground.
