The Jharkhand government today announced lockdown from April 22 to April 29 with few exemptions, news agency ANI reported. Essential services have been allowed while religious places will also remain open but the gathering of devotees not allowed, the report said. Mining, agricultural and construction activities have also been permitted, ANI reported.
India today reported 2.59 lakh coronavirus cases, pushing the overall tally to 1.53 crore, according to the latest data from the Union Health Ministry. A record 1,761 new fatalities were reported in 24 hours across the country. Jharkhand had 30,477 active cases, up 2,467 in 24 hours.
Earlier, news agency ANI had reported that Jharkhand government had sought permission from the Centre to import 50,000 vials of the Remdesivir from a Bangladeshi pharmaceuticals company amid increasing demand of for the COVID-19 drug for critical patients in the state.

केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के ताजा आंकड़ों के मुताबिक भारत में आज 2.59 लाख कोरोनावायरस मामले सामने आए हैं, इसके साथ ही कुल संख्या1.53 करोड़ तक तक हो गयी हैं । इस बीच देश भर में 24 घंटे में रिकॉर्ड १,७६१ नई मौत की खबर आई हैं , 24 घंटे में झारखंड में 2,467 के साथ, 30,477 सक्रिय मामले थे।
इससे पहले समाचार एजेंसी एएनआई ने बताया था कि झारखंड सरकार ने राज्य में गंभीर मरीजों के लिए सीओवीडी-19 दवा की बढ़ती मांग के बीच एक बांग्लादेशी फार्मास्यूटिकल्स कंपनी से Remdesivir की 50,000 शीशियों को आयात करने की अनुमति केंद्र से मांगी थी ।
