Former BBC journalist Vinod Verma was apprehended this morning on the charge of blackmailing a Chhattisgarh Minister. Allegedly the police have confiscated a large number of the minister's personal CDs from Verma’s residence. Several political parties, including Congress and AAP, have created a furore over the arrest. BJP spokesperson Shrichand Sundarani refuted claims about the CD and accused the Congress of conspiracy.
