The Jharkhand High Court on Friday rejected bail plea of ailing RJD chief, Lalu Prasad Yadav and asked to surrender by August 30. Lalu's lawyer had pleaded in the court to extend the bail for three months on medical grounds. Lalu Prasad, who is currently undergoing treatment at Asian Heart Institute hospital in Mumbai, has been on provisional bail after he was convicted in December 2017 in a fodder scam case.

झारखंड उच्च न्यायालय ने शुक्रवार को बीमार आरजेडी प्रमुख, लालू प्रसाद यादव की ज़मानत याचिका खारिज कर दी और 30 अगस्त तक आत्मसमर्पण करने को कहा। लालू के वकील ने अदालत में मेडिकल आधार पर ज़मानत तीन महीने और बढ़ाने की अर्ज़ी दी थी । लालू प्रसाद, जिनका फिलहाल मुंबई के एशियन हार्ट इंस्टीट्यूट अस्पताल में इलाज चल रहा है, चारा घोटाला मामले में दिसंबर 2017 में दोषी करार दिए जाने के बाद से अस्थायी ज़मानत पर हैं।
